a chai dance

A whisper of autumn begins to blow,
As amber leaves dance soft and slow.
In a ceramic cup, warm and deep,
Where cozy, quiet moments keep.

Steeped in black tea/ rich and strong,
Where cardamom and clove belong,
A dash of cinnamon joins the spin,
As spicy sweet aromas begin.

Milk pours in like a silky veil,
Telling a quiet, autumnal tale.
Star anise waltzes, ginger sways
Welcoming crisp and golden days.

Chai dances with a touch of fall
A gentle comfort wrapped in all,
A steaming mug to hold up high,
Beneath the cool October sky
