The Rooms We Carry
Some places never really leave us. A childhood bedroom, a kitchen full of laughter, a hallway where everything changed—sometimes a room stays with us long after we’ve walked out of it.
Today’s writing prompt
Describe a room you can no longer return to. What did it smell like? What sounds lived there? What would you say to the person you were when you last stood inside it?
Some doors close behind us, but their echoes keep a key.
Write a poem, a short memory, or a few honest lines. You can write about a place you miss, a place you escaped, or a place that changed you.
